The
EDEAQ at a Glance
The
School
Peruvian-Swiss
management, which ensures appropriate quality as well as reliability
of the school's language curriculum, educational standards, and teaching
performance as well as the Peruvian ability to respond in a flexible way
and to know when and how to improvise.
-
EDEAQ’s
tuition staff is qualified and experienced; all of Spanish mother tongue (most of them with a diploma in advanced
teaching). All teachers speak one
or more foreign languages (German and/or English and/or French) and
therefore know what learning a foreign language truly
means.
-
Tuition facilities are located one block from the Plaza de Armas (Main Square) in the "Casona Bustamante,” a listed and nicely refurbished colonial building that dates back to the late 18th century, which happens to be the house where perhaps Arequipa’s greatest son was born: José Luis Bustamante y Rivero (1894 - 1989). He was a poet, essay writer and, above all, a rominent international jurist: President of Peru from 1945 to 1948, Member of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague from 1961 to 1970, and ICJ’s first Latin American President between 1967 and 1970.

First rate references. Please also note that the EDEAQ is mentioned/recommended in a series of travel guides, e.g. Lonely Planet and South American Handbook.

Why
Spanish?
Chinese
(Mandarin), English, Hindi, and Spanish are the four most
spoken languages in the world. Spanish is spoken in more
than 30 countries and territories all over the world, in
Europe, in Latin America, and even in Africa and Asia. In a
number of American states, Spanish is considered the second
language. It is also a language of world literature - since
1945, eight Spanish writing authors (among them five Latin-Americans)
have been awarded the Nobel Prize: Gabriela Mistral (Chile,
1945), Juan Ramón Jiménez (Spain, 1956), Miguel Angel
Asturias (Guatemala, 1967), Pablo Neruda (Chile, 1971),
Vicente Aleixandre (Spain, 1977), Gabriel García Márquez
(Colombia, 1982), Camilo José Cela (Spain, 1989), Octavio
Paz (Mexico, 1990). |

Contact with the EDEAQ
On the inscription page (Registration), you will find a form for online registration. Should you prefer to
get in touch with the EDEAQ beforehand, in order to have possible questions answered or to obtain
additional information, please contact us by e-mail. We teach Spanish, but the correspondence
languages of our school are English and German (you can write in French too), and we will always
answer in English or German (in exceptional cases in French as well). – And please do not forget to
“greenlist” (clear) our mail-address (contact@edeaq.com) in the event that you control spam
by allowing incoming messages only from senders you have approved beforehand.
In the event that your registration is at very short notice, you can contact us by telephone. Leave the
phone ring for quite a while, and in the event that at the first attempt, no connection is established or
nobody answers, try several times. And do not forget that there might be a considerable time
difference with Peru with the place from where you call: European countries for instance are ahead
between five and eight hours, depending upon time zone and season of the year.
