Tuition and Starting Dates
The EDEAQ offers three course programs, which are open to anyone over 18 years of age (in
exceptional cases, and with the agreement of the school and consent of
the parents, younger students can also be considered):
-
One-to-one programs/private lessons (starting dates to be chosen freely).
Minimum course duration:
one week.
-
Small group classes [minimum two, maximum five students] (starting
dates previously published). Minimum course duration: two weeks (in
exceptional cases a course duration of one week is possible).
-
Affinity Group
courses (starting dates to be chosen freely). Minimum course duration: one week.
Classes are
offered on three main levels, including two sub-levels each:
-
Beginner
(I + II)
-
Intermediate
(I + II)
-
Advanced
(I + II)
The most important components of the language training are grammar and
syntax (structure), basic vocabulary (tools), vocabulary extension,
idiomatic terms, reading and conversation, listening comprehension, and
pronunciation.
On the first day, students (except those on an absolute beginner's
level) will be tested on their
language skills and assigned to a specific instruction level. At the end
of the course, each student is provided with a certificate of
participation.
Beginning with Intermediate l or II in particular,
teaching may take place partly outside the classrooms, i.e. practical
field exercises are held (how to telephone, shop, or to be able to
resolve breakdown situations, as for example with a car, etc.).
One-to-one
Programmes / Private Lessons
Instruction is held on the six performance levels mentioned above, in
the context of the outlined course components. Another option is a
completely personalised teaching program (inclusive pure "Crash
Courses"); i.e. the instruction elements are freely selectable.
The
first day of the course would be used to identify and formulate (based
on an interview and a written test) a suitable and personalised teaching
programme, in view of specific goals to be elaborated by the student and
his head teacher. |
